Ron Son Foods has been involved with mushrooms since the inception of the company, and they have always been an important part of our product line.  Our experience in the packing and handling of the product spans three generations.  We began as a domestic mushroom packer and therefore our knowledge of the product has proved to be most valuable when selecting overseas producers.  We offer mushrooms from many parts of the globe, depending on market conditions and the quality that is required.  Ron Son insists on a full 68oz. pack, and does not use lighter packs as an inducement to buy.  The two main sources of supply are India and China.


Pieces and Stems: These are the #1 choice for pizza topping, but they are also used as an ingredient in soups, casseroles, omelettes and many other popular dishes.

Sliced: These are used instead of the pieces and stems when a better presentation is required.  These are a superiour quality and have a higher percentage of silhouettes.

Mushroom Caps: These are used for creating appetizers or for center of the plate presentations.  They are fully cooked and de-stemmed, which makes them very convenient to use.  Just add your favorite stuffing and heat and serve.  This is a great way to expand your menu while at the same time increasing your profits.
